Maio

The Cape Verde island Maio belongs to the group of islands under the wind.



Maio has a surface area of 269 sq km. About 8400 peoples are living on Maio. The capital, Vila do Maio is a port city in the south west of the island. The white beaches and rocky coves has been little affected on tourism and offer more opportunities for an individual holiday. You can go to the island of Maio by boat or by plane from Praia (Island Santiago).
